Metallic gold ink blot paintings on red paper

Couldn’t resist working my favorite color— red– into my ink blot paintings. Here’s a look at a new series of ink blot paintings created with metallic gold acrylic paint on red Fabriano textured paper. The metallic gold and texture create a unique finish of areas with solid coverage and areas where the red texture peeks through the shimmery gold paint.
