Blue horizon sketches and study drawing.

My drawing process begins with sketches. Scribbles, doodles, words written in notebooks, and on scraps of paper. Weeks later I can’t comprehend the meaning of my cryptic notes. Here is the progress of four iterations on a drawing about the horizon, the visual line we perceive where the curve of the earth disappears from view. This happens is the Great Lake Michigan my constant source of inspiration.

The full size drawing will be about seven by four feet. Am hoping to complete it before 2015. Will post it upon completion.
