My ink blot paintings are mixed media artworks on paper or canvas— a combination of two opposing styles of work. An expressionist spatter meets a super-controlled geometric line drawing. The expressive ink blot figure, which is somewhat reliant on chance circumstances, splashed over a highly planned, almost mechanical ink line drawing–changing the perception of both.
