So much ink on the paper I had to use a blow-dryer in between line plots to dry the paper out. All hail the untouched paper… those interstices courteously left behind by the ink... providing sweet tension and then shimmer as the lines pile up. Some pen nibs required bigger holes. Which means I get to drill holes in my gears. 😍😎🤓 ECOSPHERE ink on paper, 22x30 inches. The best part of drawing is that it’s fun! Going for a spin. FALL GARDEN, ink & color pencil, on paper. I can almost smell the fallen leaves and jack-o’-lanterns. This is the final drawing in the four seasons series. Festooning the perimeter takes time. I just keep adding more gewgaw — looks like it will take couple hundred more before it’s done. My drawings are created using rudimentary tools I design and custom make. They are akin to the speiragraph invented by Peter Hubert Desvignes in 1827, built to hamper money forgery and the spirograph, a mathematical device patented by Bruno Abakanowicz in 1881. Starting the glow on FALL GARDEN… In the studio today doing the usual—spinning my wheels. 🤷🏻‍♀️🤓🫤
